ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-Day MULTIFOCAL is a daily disposable silicone hydrogel multifocal contact lens from Johnson & Johnson Vision, available from Rose Optometry on request. It is prescribed for presbyopia, the age-related loss of near focus, so you can see at distance, intermediate and near with one lens. It combines ACUVUE® Pupil Optimised Design with TearStable™ Technology and the OptiBlue™ Light Filter.

ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-Day MULTIFOCAL is prescribed by our optometrists for people over 40 who want to read, use a phone and see at distance without reading glasses, and who prefer a fresh lens every day. The lens comes in three add designs (LOW, MID, HIGH); your optometrist selects the add for each eye at your fitting, and that is what appears on your prescription.

ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-Day MULTIFOCAL contact lenses: common questions
Do I need a prescription to order ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-Day MULTIFOCAL?
Yes. ACUVUE® contact lenses are prescription-only. You need a current contact lens prescription that names this lens, with the base curve (8.4), diameter (14.3), power and add (LOW, MID or HIGH) for each eye. If you have not worn a multifocal contact lens before, book a fitting with us first.
How do multifocal contact lenses work?
A multifocal contact lens has more than one power across the lens, so light from near and far objects is focused at the same time and your visual system learns to use the clearest image. Your optometrist fine-tunes the distance power and the add for each eye and will tell you what to expect while you adapt.
Can I sleep in ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-Day MULTIFOCAL?
No. It is a daily wear, single-use lens. Take it out before you sleep and discard it.
Can I reuse a daily disposable lens?
No. Each lens is worn once and thrown away. There is no cleaning or storing.
Is there a single-vision version?
Yes. ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-Day is the single-vision lens in the same material, with two base curves.
